You don't see much of your anesthesiologist. If they make you feel comfortable, reassure you a bit, and you wake up feeling not too bad. They've done their job well. I liked Dr. Levin almost immediately and she was very pleasant to my wife and I before I went to the OR. She pushed the gurney to the OR and let me know what was happening. Then...lights out! Not long after I woke up I felt well enough to get up, get dressed, and use the bathroom. I've had other similar surgeries and, for what it's worth, don't recall coming around that nicely before. Don't get me wrong, I still felt a bit spacey for several more hours, but that's the way it works for everyone.
