Dr. Patel really cares about his clients. He goes over throughly about your results and answers every question you may have to make you feel comfortable. I’ve seening Dr Patel for almost 10 years now.

I listened to Dr. Patel. I came to see Dr. Patel because I was hurting, in pain, scared, and unsure of who or where to turn to. His calmness, professionalism and knowlege all pointed to me that I came to the right Doctor. In my opinion, he saved my life. He and his staff took care of me, step by step. No questions went unanswered. My procedure went perfectly. His staff were all professional and worked perfectly to see I was taken care of. Dr. Patel fixed me, gave me complete documentation of what was done and what still needs to be done. Dr. Patel had my deepest respect. And I am thankful he is my Doctor.

Doesn’t listen to you. Concentrated on one thing you say and ignores the rest. Didn’t report test findings- finally got results after 3 calls to them. They said they hadn’t received them- lab where I had tests done gave me exact dates (2) the results were faxed to doctor’s office. When I was finally given results by physicians assistant- no explanation of what results showed and assistant could not answer any questions I had about results and next steps I should take . Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor and office.

He is not very compassionate for a gastroenterologist, he seems to want his patients to be cookie-cutter and easy to treat. Wants to treat you more like a number then to understand your patient experience and needs.

i have worked with this guy for years. he is rude to patients and staff. he talk about his patients behind their backs. and he has a serious god complex! avoid this "doctor" at all costs!

HE SAW ME IN THE HOSPITAL AND DID SEVERAL PROCEDURES THEN SENT ME TO A SPECIALIST AT LOYOLA WHERE I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A RARE LIVER DISEASE. HE SAVED MY LIFE. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

my husband was hospitalized for a bowel obstruction, and was treated by dr. patel. when he was admitted through the ER, a ct scan was done, stating that obstruction could be secondary to a malignancy of the bladder. dr patel refused to call a urology consult. and threatened to remove my husband from the hospital for going against his advice. my husband spent 11 days in delnor in april, was diagnosed with bladder cancer in june, and died in nov. at age 62. his oncologists all said he could have had a better outcome with an earlier diagnosis.

He is friendly and seemed to care about me as a person. He made sure I was comfortable during procedures.

I had a positive experience with Dr. Patel. I was referred by family who also had a good experience. The bottom line is that I got along with him and got me feeling better.

I read other reviews and wonder if they saw the same doctor I did. I was pleased at how personable Dr. Patel was; he took time to answer questions [and I can ask a lot], explained how procedure would take place, discussed schedule and transportation needs. I'm very happy I met this doctor.

Dr was not very interested in listening and just wanted to run a bunch of tests that were very expensive and have cost me alot of money. Unstead of listening and doing some simple blood tests and starting out small. I found him to be very condescending and to above me to even care what I thought. I received a second opinion and after consulting with my regular physician my problem was determined by a blood test and one test that was not so expensive.

Dr. Patel, upon our first visit, informed me that I'm "looking for something that isn't there" (in terms of a cause for pain and illness), was absolutely dismissive, condescending and rude. The very next day another doc did a simple blood test that showed a failing thyroid, pancreatitis and led to an eventual diagnosis of Celiac disease. I sure hope Dr. Patel pauses and thinks about the way he treats (or doesn't treat) his patients. I feel he did a true disservice - felt terrible and hopeless leaving this appointment.
