Dr. Lee Mclean Whitesides

This dentist had made sure I’ve had the worst experience ever. My wisdom tooth extraction has caused me so much pain. I’m still numb weeks later and was never told that I could possibly have nerve damage. I can’t chew food that require a lot of chewing. I can’t ipdn my mouth wide. I still have severe jaw pain almost a month later. Told him my concerns and have never felt so insignificant. He brushed me off like whatever it happens. This really has affected me mentally and physically. PLEASE don't go just choose elsewhere!

I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Whiteside for a tooth extraction. I was arrived on time and was given and given a lengthy package to complete. I was seen shortly there after. We made small talk that was initiated primarily by me. The dentist didn't discus what he was going to do or the procedure. He stuck me three times injecting Novocain and not once applied a topical anesthetic. When I say it hurts it would rate a 10 on a scale of 1-10 and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. During the procedure he explained what he was doing to what I assume was a new employee. I know that he didn't explain any of his aggressive methods to me. I have to say he appears to have the bedside manner of a wall. He does not appear to care about inflecting pain. He did get the tooth out. After the procedure neither he nor anyone from his staff ever called to see how I was doing. I would never go back or recommend to anyone, even if I didn't like the person, recommend to use this practice. I've also discovered that if you don't call and push the issue any amount that you paid, while they are waiting to see what is covered by insurance, they only reimburse over payment on a quarterly basis. I don't find this a very ethical process.

Great, effective care and really nice professionals! I must say, I was a bit nervous when I had to schedule a last minute wisdom tooth removal. The office of Dr. Whitesides was able to acomodate a consultation and surgery within the week. The surgery, to my surprise, lasted only 20 minutes and I left in great shape. I had absolutely no bruising and minimal swelling. It is now a week later and I am recovering really well!

Professional and knowledgeable. Able to answer my many questions to my satisfaction.
