I saw Dr. James for a frozen shoulder. In addition to being caring, kind, and knowledgeable, he turned to say goodbye when I left the nurses’ station after making my follow-up appointment.

James is the one who did my ACL reconstruction surgery. The surgery went very well and the recovery is very fast too. He is very informative and provided all the information I need which made my post operative recovery very fast. He and his staff are very accommodating in handling all procedures very well. I liked working with him on my knee issue.

I felt really good about my visit with Dr James. He was very professional and explained what was going on discussing options to treat my problem. Everything was clear and easy to understand. I felt like attention was paid, questions and concerns answered in a kind and respectful way. Time was taken with me as needed. I did not feel rushed. Dr. Evan James is an excellent Orthopedic Dr specializing in joint repairs. Prior to meeting him, I was seeing Dr. Tyler Watters at RO to get a consult on the pain I had been experiencing for over a year in my right hip. After going through 6 weeks of PT and finally obtaining an MRI, Dr Watters diagnosed my Gluteus Medius tear and promptly referred me over to Dr. James. I am a former dancer / dance teacher (over 30 yrs) and this injury likely happened over several years of chronic overuse. Dr. James was great and thoroughly explained all of my options. He even personally called me when I had several follow up questions prior to making the decision on which treatment I wanted to pursue. Ultimately, I decided to move forward with surgery to repair the tendon and I'm so glad I did. I am now 10 days post-op and the pain I had been having is virtually gone. Yes, it will be a long recovery requiring patience and compliance with a pretty strict PT protocol, but I am happy I had this surgery and hope to heal 100% so I can get back to a better quality of life. Prior to surgery, I was having chronic aching pain 24/7, even with OTC meds and PT. My gait was being significantly impacted and by the end of each day, I was waddling around due to extreme fatigue. The pain was consistently waking me up at night and getting a good night's sleep was very difficult. I was just getting by and it was very depressing how limited I was in my daily activities. I couldn't do things I used to...go on simple hikes with my family, give myself a dance class, go up and down stairs without pain, etc... Overall Dr. Evan James was great and I would not hesitate to return to him if I had a need to in the future. He has a great bedside manner, is very easy to talk to and to understand, and I never felt rushed. He listened to all of my questions, gave me very thorough answers, and ultimately supported me in my decision to do the surgical repair. His whole team is great - very professional and responsive any time I needed anything.

Dr. James is an exceptional physician. He is patient, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. My visit was not rushed and he reviewed my X-rays with me, explaining with precision what the “normal” expectation should be. He discussed all of my options and was incredibly considerate of my time when he suggested additional X-rays. The entire visit made me feel acknowledged, validated, and well cared for.

Dr. James is the best Orthopedic doctor we have seen, our daughter had a serious hip injury that he was able too accurately diagnose after multiple misdiagnosis. His care plan set her on the road to recovery, he displays a level of knowledge and experience that makes him the top in his field. His genuine care and concern for his patients is what the health care industry needs more of. If you have any type of hip problems Dr. James is the doctor I would recommend hands down.
