Dr. Michael D Van Brocklin, OD

I was scheduled last Wednesday for cataract surgery at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Bellingham, WA. My first appointment was with Dr. Van Brocklin for an evaluation. Dr. Van Brocklin did a very thorough exam of both my eyes. He saw that the surgery was scheduled for my good eye. He explained that, in general, the level of successful cataract surgeries without complications is extremely high, but at PCLI, it is even higher. He reassured me in a very genuine way that they operate on many "one eyes" and understand the importance of getting it 100% right. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his exam. Even though they were going to put in a standard lens, he studied the entire eye especially since I had had some retina issues in the past. Nobody does it better.
