I was taken to Clear Lake Methodist Hospital. It was determined I required emergency surgery, and I was introduced to Dr. Mason who explained my condition to me and my family and why I needed the surgery now. The surgery was very successful. I will tell you this, Dr. Mason is a great Doctor and a gentleman, he shows the utmost respect to his patients and their families. If you need surgery, Dr. Mason is your best choice.

Did the background checks on Dr, Mason but still didn't know what to expect from him as this was my first visit to the doctor. After introductions and his examination of my problem he proceeded to explain what it was and how he will go about correcting the problem. Besides having excellent training and experience he is very kind. He explains things in depth and he listens. After the surgery he explained what he did and why and what I will encounter until the results of the surgery takes effect. Of course there was the routine "not to do" instructions. But, he is refreshing in his concern for doing the right thing and concerns for the patient. He is truly a "patient first" person. Dr. Mason's staff is pleasant to work with. The "patient first" also applies to Dr. Mason's staff.

I know it should be the standard, but as healthcare has become so regulated and automated, it is common to see a glazed over look in health providers' eyes as the patients blur together. Dr. Mason took the time to read over my chart with me- as long as those forms are it was nice to see someone actually read it!- then gave a thorough exam and assessment. In then end I had a great deal of confidence in his opinion because he was professional, thorough, and the assessment truly felt tailored to me.

I am truly impressed with Dr. Mason's complete and thorough explanation of issues and results. I feel well cared for and am very impressed with his care.
