I'm a 65yr old male with a long history of diverticulitis. I've been in and out of the hospital almost every year from 1986 2007. In 2000 I had part of my colon removed and had a good 7 years but that all ended on Thanksgiving 2007. Dr Choi did a surgical procedure where she took my guts out and milked it. She cut and resectioned 4 places where the diverticuli was bad. The result was a two month stay in the hospital where my intestinal track had to work its way back to health. I can't thank Dr Choi enough for what she did for me. I never had to ware a bag or anything. This was done at Danbury hospital in CT. I also have a younger sister who unfortunately has the same condition and after acouple of surgical procedures, she went to Dr. Choi and to this day we are both doing great. THANK YOU DR.CHOI WITH ALL MY HEART.

Dr. Choi and her Baytown team are amazing. Thank you to Dr Choi, Juanita, Rose, and Rachel! Going through this process was very stressful and difficult with the changes that were going on with United healthcare and Houston Methodist at the time. Everyone in Dr. Choi‘s team answered every question and concern I had. Rose Molina responded to the numerous emails I sent. She assured me they we’re with me every step of the way. Dr.Chois right hand , Juanita is also the sweetest lady I ever met. She came to check on me in the hospital and she still calls to make sure I have everything I need. I did a lot of research and had consults with several surgeons, even the infamous 600 pound Dr. ???? before I decided to go with this team. It has been almost 6 months since I have had surgery and my only sadness is when United Healthcare finally decides to terminate with Houston Methodist ??????.

Dr. Choi is a very caring and compassionate doctor. Her down to earth, personalized care is truly a gift for her patients.

I saw Dr. Choi when I went into the hospital through the ER.

Dr. Choi is fine when she is about to perform surgery and gets paid but does not want to have anything to do with you when there are complications. I saw her at my follow up visit and told her I was not feeling well and she sent me home. About an hour later with over a 103 temp I was admitted thru the ER and put into isolation for a severe infection. Spent a week alone in a hospital room and am VERY lucky to be alive. God bless you if you decide to use her.

I was a new patient of Dr. Laura Choi, MD. I had to wait 1 hour for now apparent reason. Doctor Choi gave me an impression of heartless, uncaring, inconsiderate, and not compassionate person. She refused to fill out my disability form, even though she told me herself that she believes that I am disabled. I am not seeing her anymore.

Excellent caring physician! She also knows her stuff which really is the most important thing!

Dr.Choi and her staff were helpful, polite and very professional when I visited her office for the treatment of an umbilical hernia. Being a retired middle school science teacher I had more than a few questions concerning my procedure. She took plenty of time to address all of my concerns. She was also careful to inform me of the potential risks. The staff at the Danbury Ambulatory center were all very attentive and the one day procedure went just as planned. I would recommend Dr. Choi without reservation.

The doctor was very nice however, misdiagnosed me. After reading the same from other people's reviews I would get a second opinion.

I work for a surgeons office myself so I know what is expected from a doctor and office staff, when I walk up to check in, the girl is looking down.She did not even acknowlege me. I had to wait for her to finish what she was doing. Now the important part. I have beeen under Dr. Choi's care after gastric bypass for 2 years. Long story short- 2 weeks after my initial surgery after having been to the ER on 3 separate occasions and the residents telling me to "try harder" they found out there were adhesions and a "kink" and she had to perform surgery on me again. Still after all that i continued to lose weight, lost alot of hair, some of my teeth chipped, etc. After a year I got pregnant. After much turmoil I was scared to have the baby due to the situation i was in. After meeting with the NP i decided i could do this. She also assured me that many women have had babies after surgery. I had so many health issues but i tried everything for the sake of my unborn child. Tring to eat constantly so my child will get adequate nutrition. Still it wasnt enough- after 6 months i had to give birth and my child didnt make it. Itbhas now been 8 mo after and its still all heart breaking but it makes me so dissappointed in this doctor because they were baffled by my case because they couldnt figure out whats wrong with me. I went to a doctor in NY and in the 1.5 hr consult he gave me a game plan and my admission to the NY hospital is tomorrow. Dr. Choi is irresponsible and couldnt care less what happens tonher patients. I have been following up with her NP all this time and even with all these complications, she didnt have the decency to see me personally. This is not A HIGHER LEVEL OF CARE!!!!!!

Unfortunately I left Dr. Choi's office in extreme pain and without a diagnosis. I ended up having emergency surgery later that day when another surgeon found the problem. Obviously I wouldn't recommend her.

Dr. Choi is an outstanding physician. Her care is top notch,exactly what was needed.She is polite, professional, and easy to talk to regarding your condition. You will understand your medical condition and why the right surgery is required. A big thank you.

Don't make the mistake I did, you will pay for it with your health. Dr. Choi is dismissive, arrogant, and does not fully care for her patients.
