The worst doctor I have come across. Very rude, impatient and doesn't explain anything. He made an incorrect diagnosis. The appointments always feel rushed and he seems more interested in getting in and out as fast as he can. I went in for a follow up after I noticed that my lesions got worse. I was concerned it was an adverse reaction to the injections he gave me. His response was "I am not sure what you are complaining about, your lesions have improved. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with you". I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone. He does not NOT listen and makes wrong diagnosis.
He was running a little late but took care of my issue in about 7 minutes. Very personable and professional. Good job.
Of four dermatologists I’ve seen over the years, Dr. Muz seems to be the most knowledgeable and honest. He is able to tell quickly what every skin imperfection is, and rarely performs a biopsy or procedure. And he did not push to get me to see him again sooner. I often wondered whether other dermatologists perform more procedures and biopsies because they cannot tell if a condition is benign or not, or are pushed to do it by financial considerations.
Don't understand the negative reviews---I think Dr. Muz is terrific!! Only a 5 minute wait to see him, he diagnosed my problem right away, was pleasant, professional and funny!! Would highly recommend him!
This doctor is very cold and careless with his patients. Did NOT resolve my problem just kept throwing cream at me. Went for a second opion and found out I have underlying condition. Do not go to this doctor. Also waited a ridiculous amount of time in office. Every employee was cold. As if they could careless in helping.
Would never go back again to see Dr. Muz. He took about 2 minutes too look at me...if that is what you want to call it. No bed side manner at all. Office staff was friendly.. Maybe Dr. Muz could spend some time with them to get a clue on how to treat patients.
I asked for a skin check and all he looked at was the two moles that I wanted removed. Acted as if I was bothering him and ASKED why are you here. The nurses and staff were friendly and nice, but Dr. Muz NEVER AGAIN YOU ARE RUDE AS I'M NOT SURE WHY YOU ARE A SO CALLED PHYSICIAN. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO YOU AGAIN!!!! YOUR SERVICES WERE AWFUL AND YOU HAVE HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER. YOU NEED LESSONS IN THIS AREA. I WILL SEEK DERM APPTS. ELSEWHERE. NO WONDER IT WAS EASY TO GET A QUICK APPT. WITH YOU AS NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOU.
I have had over a dozen skin cancers removed by Dr. Muz and he has always shown concern for my situation and made sure I had minimal scarring (including MOHS surgery). He always takes time to explain to me what is going on and what will happen next, because he knows that is important to me. When things are going well I only see him once a year for a check up, but he always remembers my name and treats me with respect. He only does surgery if there is no other option, preferring to freeze off the small skin cancers to keep the scar small. Is he a busy man with a lot of patients? Yes. Does he hug me when I am there? No, but I am not looking for a doctor who hugs me, I am looking for a doctor who is smart and competent and who knows his stuff and considers surgery the last option.
Excellent communication skills, answers all my questions, his treatments work for me. Great dry sense of humor.
I have been in healthcare for 24 yearsI had a consult with Dr Muz. He was notfriendly and quite rude.I never met thisperson and he told me to remind him to use anesthetic on my moles before he worked on the one on my arm. He said donot tell me later that you want these removed. Wow!! My husband is a physicianand I work with them all the time and never heard a doc so rude with a horriblebedside manner. I worked at MGH for yearsI will not be going back to my follow upwith this doctor again. He stared at his computer the entire timeI was explaining why I was in his office. I amnormally a quiet person but thought this should be addressed.
Dr. Muz is very low key. He explained what I had and the procedure matter of factly. He did an excellent job sewing me up, within a year a quarter sized hole in my forehead was almost invisible
I moved from New York and started seeing Dr. Muz because I have had a melanoma in the past. He carefully reviewed my records and spent the time with me doing a full skin exam. As he did that he picked up another skin cancer that I missed. At a later date he operated on it and removed it. I can hardly see the scar. I was impressed with him and his staff.
I have been coming to him for years. He has treated me, my father and my husband for all kinds of skin problems. Has done a great job with all of us. I would highly recommend him.
I"ve been treated for different reasons over the last few years by Dr. Muz. Apart from being knowledgeable, effective and highly professional every time, Dr. Muz always makes himself available whenever I need him, and always communicates with patience, compassion, and clarity. Going to the doctor used to arouse anxiety for me, but now I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Muz. I recommend Dr. Muz without hesitation.
I have had acne for many years (into my 30s), and I have seen many dermatologists. Dr. Muz is the only one who was able to give me totally clear skin. I also get eczema and he is great at explaining the treatments and relieving the itch.
Not impressed
This doctor is rude and arrogant. When a patient puts their health in a doctors hands, that patient should not feel like their questions are stupid and unfounded. Dr Muz is impatient after making his patients wait 45 minutes. The staff must be underpaid, to act so rude and impersonal.I would only recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.
Dr. Muz is the best dermatologist dr I have ever met. His care and compassion surpasses other professionals in the medical field. At each opportunity, I have recommended him to collegues and they do agree that he is once of the best (and nicest) dr's they have been too. And the staff he has is great too. Full of helpful knowledge and compassion as well. I would not ever considering going anywhere else.
I had a huge, painful bump under my big toe. It was becoming painful to walk. Dr. Muz did a small surgery to take it out. He was great at preparing me for what the procedure would feel like. He told me that I would have no pain as soon as the bump was taken out, and he was right. I had no post-surgical pain at all. Amazing.
I was supposed to start Accutane and now I can't because Dr. Muz's office wasn't organized.I drove an hour to his office, paid the co-pay, took the pregnancy test and scheduled a second appointment in a month. A month later, I came back to take the 2nd pregnancy test, do blood work, and get the Rx for Accutane. The PA advised that I would have the Rx the next day. That night I tried to register online and couldn't so I left a message. The next day I called, and I left another message. On day 3, I got a call back saying that they never reregistered me and so I have to come in a month and take a pregnancy test and then I can start Accutane. When I asked about my appointment a month ago, they said, well you weren't going to take Accutane at that point. Um, yes I was. That was the purpose of my appointment. THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF MY PREGNANCY TEST that I took and paid a copay for, nevermind the hour there and the hour back that I drove. If that's not rude enough, my face is breaking out in the meantime, and I'm getting new marks/scars each week as time goes on. If they were more organized, my face would be on the road to healing a month sooner! I'm going to have to wait regardless now, because iPledge is strict and won't make an exception, even if it is the Doctor's error. However, I am taking my business elsewhere because Dr. Muz's office is clearly not organized enough and I as the patient- my face!- is paying the direct consequence of it.
