Best total knee every!

Excellent & Honest Service. Dr. Silverstein’s knowledge & care for his patients is above reproach. He is very thoughtful & thorough. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Silverstein answered all my questions with clear answers. He has great human relations skills. He demonstrated before and after results of both knee surgeries. The changes in procedures from the first operation to the second surgery demonstrated to me that his practice is continually utilizing better methods in addressing the patient's needs.

I had an exceptionally bad experience with knee replacement, and he ignored my complaints and made no attempt to reach out to me or address numerous concerns I made him aware of. Disappointing and alarming. Would not go back.

I have found Dr. Silverstein and the rest of the doctors and staff to have been professional and compassionate. My questions were answered and the procedures were thoroughly explained to me prior to my surgery. Unsolicited, I found friends and neighbors who highly recommended Dr. Silverstein.

Excellent doctor and service-oriented. He is very good at explaining things and easy to talk with. Nice office and great office staff too.

So I had to wait with this whole COVID thing and Dr. Silverstein and his PA Sean helped me manage my pain in the mean time. Surgery went great. I was only in Northwest Hospital for like 18hrs and probably could have gone home the same day. Pain was well as expected. The block really did help. I'm 6 wks out and couldn't be happier. It already moves more than it did before surgery and I can walk well over a mile. Great doc! Highly recommend! (I asked someone who works in the OR who they would use and they said him)

I highly recommend Dr. Silverstein. I found him through a friend for whom he performed a successful knee replacement surgery. His bedside manner is very personable. I trust him. He performed a total knee replacement surgery for me about 3 yeas ago. It was very successful, everything in perfect alignment !

After consulting with two other orthopedic surgeons, I chose Dr. Silverstein to treat my arthritic knee. I was especially pleased with his graduated approach. Over time, once these more conservative measures were no longer reasonable, I agreed to a total knee replacement. Throughout the process everything was carefully explained, and during recovery all questions and concerns were completely addressed. Needless to say, when my other knee began acting up, I didn’t hesitate to trust Dr. Silverstein with a second total knee replacement! In short, he’s a skilled and caring physician.

Dr. Scott did a great job on both of my knees! I had 2 neighbors go to Mercy and they have not done half as well as I did and they only had one done. I'm walking 5 miles and couldn't be more pleased.

I am a primary care doctor in the area and routinely refer my patients to Scott. He does such a good job listening to people and on the surgery that I asked him to do my wife's total knee. She has done better than either of us had hoped. The spinal anesthesia with a nerve block with a catheter lasted 4 -5 days. (Thanks to Northwest hospital anesthesia!). If you need a primary knee you will not do better than Dr. Silverstein.

I've had a lot of ortho experiences in 50 years of injuries and he's one of my favorites. Nice guy and great surgeon. His secretary is top notch also. He did a phenomenal job on my total knee replacement. Thanks!!!

I had my first total knee done at U of MD by Dr. Adib and didn’t like the whole experience. I’ve had problems ever since. I was nervous about doing the left, but Scott was very reassuring. He definitely had more of a process than they did at Maryland. He also had a far better plan in terms of Anesthesia and pain. The adductor block with a catheter and Exparal? greatly reduced my pain. We did the other knee at Northwest Hospital. I could not be more pleased with my total knee and would recommend him to anyone!!

Dr. Silverstein was very professional and caring. His expertise in knee surgery was very successful. It was not as bad as I had imagined. I’m 6 months out of surgery and I can honestly say it’s the best thing that could have happened in dealing with a bad knee for years. I was able to walk around the same day after my surgery. And the nurses were very nice and caring. My range is back beyond 120 and I’m very pleased with my whole experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone who may be experiencing knee pain and is in need of surgery. This would be the Doctor to seek out! Thank you Dr. Silverstein you’re the BEST!!!!

We love Dr. Scott. He takes care of most of the employees in our office. (We are in the same building in Columbia). All the docs go to him as well. Can't say enough good things about him and his secretary, Erika!

Dr. Scott is a great surgeon. He has done both of my total knees and I'm back to tennis. He also has fixed both of my rotator cuffs. One of them, two other surgeons said couldn't be fixed. He's a very nice person but more importantly he has very very good hands...

So Dr. Scott has operated on three of my family members and done two surgeries on me personally. He fixed my rotator cuff about seven years ago and honestly I haven't had a problem since. Kernan was great. This past year he also did my knee replacement. I've struggled with this thing for more than 10 years. He's kept me going. He was the only Doctor who recommended an unloader brace. It worked for four years. I could not be more pleased with my total knee. I only spent the night overnight in the hospital. . I was completely off crutches in 10 days. I am truly grateful to be under his care.

Dr. Scott fixed my rotator cuff after it didn't heal the first time around at the University. He was interested, friendly and really listened to me. I wasn't sure I wanted more surgery but a year later its gone great and my wife just went to him for her shoulder. You can't beat OACM docs!!!!!

So I suffered with a bum knee for more than a year. Saw 2 other docs who told me I had lymes disease and treated me with antibiotics and PT. I finally was sent to Scott (I like that he's informal), by a co worker. I had a torn flap of meniscus that he fixed and I'm at least 95% of the way back. He also (and his secretary Erika) get kudos for adding me on at the last minute when I thought I had a blood clot after surgery. (I didnt). He's a good guy and a great surgeon. This is a busy practice so be prepared for some waits. They have free wifi though! Couldnt be happier!

Scott (he was very informal) did a great job diagnosing and then fixing my knee. I had seen someone in the group next to them in Columbia and been told I was crazy basically. He identified a tear in my meniscus that was very subtle on the MRI but even the Radiology person agreed. 18 min of surgery later ( and 3 months ) I'm back to running. I can't say enough good things!
