Dr. Shah is a great doctor and person! He takes the time to explain and answer all questions that I had. This was my first surgery and it was perfect. I was walking and going up and down stairs 2 hours after surgery was completed. I entered the hospital at 6:00am surgery began at 7:30 and I was home by 1:45pm. I would recommend Dr. Shah to everyone.

Ten weeks after my procedure I am back to work full time, and teaching Spin and Yoga at night. I am so glad my frenemy daily pain is a thing of the past!

My experience working with Dr. Shah and his staff has been positive from the initial evaluation to my eventual surgery for a partial knee replacement. As an athlete intending to return to rigorous activity post-surgery, I greatly appreciated Dr. Shah's openness to discussing recovery in these terms. I also recognized that Dr. Shah had considerable experience with partial knee replacements; this procedure was the right fit for me and an option not offered or recommended by other surgeons I'd consulted. Dr. Shah also stood out from the crowd not only as a skilled surgeon but as someone who could relate to me on a personal level--in other words, he has a great personality and exceptional taste in socks.

There are not enough great words to describe Dr. Shah, Leanne and his entire team. I have had both left and right full hip replacement done in the span of fourteen months, both with Dr. Shah. I was nervous going into the surgeries as I am a very active person working out 5 days/week, swimming, surfing, tennis and several other physical activities. Both surgeries went well although I did have some issues with my left hip but those were because of stupidity on my part. It slowed down the recovery process in short. The right hip was done on July 13th of this year and within two weeks, I was feeling pretty good. I was walking without any assistance after only 4 days and the PT I received at home and outside BWH has been great. I am now pain free on both hips for the first time in almost two years! Again, Dr. Shah, Leanne and the entire staff at BWH have been amazing! Hopefully no more replacements in the future but if so, I know where I am going!

Dr. Shah and his team are extremely professional, caring and easy to talk and CB they are totally committed to their patients. I had a complete Hip Replacement on May 16th, 2023 and am looking forward to working with them in the very near future for a second hip. Every aspect of my care has been a great experience .

Outstanding surgeon. Attentive , clearly very skilled, and a credit to his profession. Dr Shah, did both my knees and I am delighted with the results. His staff are excellent too. I have recommended several people with similar knee issues, which is the clearest sign of my satisfaction.

Dr Shah and team replaced my right knee in February of 20 and right hip in May of 23. As he told me “ the hip is going to be so much easier” and it was a walk in the park. The entire team was fantastic, other then my own induced problems the recovery has been way better than I expected. 98% of all my appointments leading up to the surgeries, the surgeries themselves and all of the post opp were exactly on time and stress free!!

Had left hip replaced April 4, 2023. Excellent job and recovery is 100%, I am walking again at 4 mph outside and doing everything I used to do. I am 81 years old.

I had a total right hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Shah. The entire process, from the first consult to the end of my recovery, was a completely positive experience. His medical website, Force Therapeutics, is outstanding, guiding patients with information and exercises before and after surgery. Dr. Shah and his team were also available at all times with advice and to answer questions and concerns. I had a speedy and pain free recovery and have returned to all my activities, including golf and running, three months after surgery. I could not be more satisfied with Dr. Shah and his team and I recommend him highly and without any hesitation.

I was very impressed with Dr. Shah and his whole care team. Right from the consultation through post-op, I was confident in his abilities. I had my right total knee replaced July 2022, and second total knee done February 2023. If I had any questions the care team was just a phone call or text away. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to him. I drove from The Cape to Faulkner Hospital to get this procedure done and done well.

i had 2 total knee replacements in 5 months the results are fantastic there was minimal pain and after a month or 2 no pain , no scars . Dr Shaw and his team are fantastic as well as Brigham and Womens hospital .The pre and after care program are great and set you up to win . I highly recommend .

Dr. Vivek Shah and the Care Team are always courteous and professional. They do an excellent job in providing details regarding procedures pre and post surgery recovery including explanations regarding xrays. The use of the Force Therapeutics mobile app offered by the Care Team is very helpful pre and post surgery. Dr. Shah and his team take interest in knowing me as an individual, thereby taking interest in understanding my goals.

I am 3 months post a right total hip replacement from Dr Shah. He was recommended to me by Dr Wilk after it was discovered that the extensive labral tearing in my hip was not repairable. Dr Shah is a busy man, so it took a while to be seen for an appointment and there was a three month wait for surgery, but it was worth it. I had a previous doctor refuse to work on hip bc of my age (I am “too young” in my mid 40s and “wouldn’t be happy with it”). Dr Shah knew right away that this hip had to go so I could get my life back as a teacher, dancer, and busy mother. The staff at Brigham and Women’s was stellar on the day of surgery. I was taken care of beyond expectation. It was wonderful to go home the same day with the surgery behind me. Dr Shah even called the next day to see how I was feeling. I went back to work at 5 weeks, back to Pilates at 5 weeks, and back to ballet at 10 weeks. I have only a 4” bikini line scar. When/if it’s time to my other hip, I know where to go.
